Thanksgiving Week

The week of Thanksgiving, we were very lucky to have Mary and Frank (Brian's parents) come and visit us. They drove from Eastern MT and arrived on Sat the 22nd. Brian had office meetings all day, then Frank and Brian took off late Sat afternoon for Seattle to go to a Redskins V. Seahawks game. They had great seats, 5 rows up from the 40 yard line on the Redskins side! They got back late Sunday night. That week we had so much fun. Mary helped (well really did) me refinish a dresser for our bedroom, Frank did lots of chores around the house and hung out with the kids. Andrew and Katie had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa. Thursday (Thanksgiving Morning) Shelby ran in a 5k (3.1 miles) in 29 minutes. Then we had a great Thanksgiving meal with everyone. Mary and Frank left Friday afternoon. We were so sad to see them go, but excited because we are going home in a few weeks for Christmas!! Sat was Andrew's 3rd birthday and we had a party for him Sunday afternoon with a few friends. We had such a great week, Thanks Mary and Frank for coming and all your help!

Spaghetti!

Tonight for supper we had spaghetti and meatballs. Andrew is currently on a food strike, so he refused to eat. Katie on the other hand had a great time! Thank goodness for Vinny! This weekend we had a 4 day weekend, we worked on potty training with Andrew and needless to say, we were not successful :-(. Back to the diaper, I do think he is slowly warming up to the idea. Katelyn is finally wanting to crawl. For those of you who don't know, she has refused to crawl, but scoots on her butt. It is quite entertaining! She is very fast and gets into everything. She is thinking about walking too, someday......

Around the house

As some of you know, we just recently moved into a new house. That has been keeping us busy continueing to put things away, it is a never ending job! Work is in full swing for me, I am working many late nights as is Brian. We keep telling ourselves it will pay off :-). Andrew is almost 3, at the end of November he will be and Katelyn is 15 months. They are quite different from each other, Andrew is laid back and very shy, Katelyn is very busy and very social. She is quite the princess! Overall, we are doing well.

Halloween!

This year for Halloween Andrew was a pirate and Katelyn was an octopus. We had friends over for pizza, then went with 3 other families Trick or Treating. Andrew had lots of fun getting candy and Katelyn enjoyed watching from the stroller. It was exciting to see Andrew really get into it, he even wore the eye patch most of the night!
