Winter Time

Katelyn just got over having an ear infection and croup, it was not a very fun week in our house. Andrew had a bit of a cold and runny nose, but so far nothing else. This week is parent teacher conferences, then 3 weeks until Spring Break!! Hopefully Josi is coming out during SB. We are looking forward to it getting nice out as well. Andrew starts soccer in a few weeks, I will let you all know how that goes!

Picture Time

Andrew has been very into making funny faces lately and his picture taken. He love to pretend that he is Diego and Leo from Little Einsteins. Katelyn's hair is finally getting long enough to put "pretties" in. She loves to have them in, and loves to take them out!

Funny stuff

We are all doing well. Katelyn finally started walking! She has been super stubborn about it. We are all very excited, well except for Andrew. She is always getting into her things. She is very strong willed and he is very kind. Things will get better when Andrew figures out he just needs to do what every Kate says! Andrew loves numbers, his favorite book right now is Chicka Chicka 123. We read it almost every night. He can recognize the numbers to 100. It seems to just tire him out!!

Hair Cuts

We all got hair cuts last week. Andrew of course hated his, he only cried when she buzzed him this time though. Katelyn on the other hand loved hers! She thought she was the prettiest princess. She just sat in the chair as still as she could and watched the lady cut her hair. It was so funny. Katelyn is the girliest girl, she loves to wear anything that might make her extra beautiful, hats, glasses, brothers scoobes! I have a feeling she will be pretty vocal about what she wears!

Brian's hair cut was normal and I got a cut and color.

Also, I posted a picture of a dresser that Mary and I (Mostly Mary) refinished over Thanksgiving when they were here.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to everyone! Hope your year is going well. We were home for 10 over winter vacation to see everyone. Andrew had a great time and understood the meaning of Christmas- Presents (well the meaning for a 3 year old!). We stayed with Jim and Amy and their kids. The roads were great both to and from MT, but in between it was a nighmare! We are happy to be back where it is not so cold.

Since we have gotten home Katelyn has been pulling herself up more and more and starting to walk, finally! Andrew hates it, she is always getting his stuff. We had a great trip home and it was fun to see everyone. We can't wait to come back this summer.

Thanksgiving Week

The week of Thanksgiving, we were very lucky to have Mary and Frank (Brian's parents) come and visit us. They drove from Eastern MT and arrived on Sat the 22nd. Brian had office meetings all day, then Frank and Brian took off late Sat afternoon for Seattle to go to a Redskins V. Seahawks game. They had great seats, 5 rows up from the 40 yard line on the Redskins side! They got back late Sunday night. That week we had so much fun. Mary helped (well really did) me refinish a dresser for our bedroom, Frank did lots of chores around the house and hung out with the kids. Andrew and Katie had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa. Thursday (Thanksgiving Morning) Shelby ran in a 5k (3.1 miles) in 29 minutes. Then we had a great Thanksgiving meal with everyone. Mary and Frank left Friday afternoon. We were so sad to see them go, but excited because we are going home in a few weeks for Christmas!! Sat was Andrew's 3rd birthday and we had a party for him Sunday afternoon with a few friends. We had such a great week, Thanks Mary and Frank for coming and all your help!

Spaghetti!

Tonight for supper we had spaghetti and meatballs. Andrew is currently on a food strike, so he refused to eat. Katie on the other hand had a great time! Thank goodness for Vinny! This weekend we had a 4 day weekend, we worked on potty training with Andrew and needless to say, we were not successful :-(. Back to the diaper, I do think he is slowly warming up to the idea. Katelyn is finally wanting to crawl. For those of you who don't know, she has refused to crawl, but scoots on her butt. It is quite entertaining! She is very fast and gets into everything. She is thinking about walking too, someday......
