Reading Books
Both Andrew and Katelyn love to read books. Some of our favorites right now are: "Brown Bear Brown Bear", "Panda Bear Panda Bear" and "Don't be Silly Ms. Milly". Pretty much anything that deals with animals and/or letters/numbers are a favorite of Andrew. Katelyn loves the "Fancy Nancy" series. Every week we have a playdate with our friends Halle and her sister Claire and their Mom Shawna. Halle and Andrew are only a few months apart in age. They are great friends, and have both decided that they don't like wearing clothes! They had lots of fun swimming naked in the pool!

We're Free!
Well, not really, but school is done for the year! We are looking forward to seeing lots of visitors this summer, starting with Mary and Frank, the Whipples, The Earls, Amy and the kids, hopefully Jen and then a trip home for fair. We can't wait to take the kids on rides and eat all the yummy fair food in Sidney! We also have Kate's 2nd bday the end of July and my birthday too. I am going to Eugene for a week in the middle of July for a conference, but am looking forward to relaxing, and hopefully doing some painting! The kids are great, busy as ever. Brian and I are going away next weekend for our anniversary, the first time we will leave the kids overnight with friends. We are excited and a bit nervous. We are staying downtown Boise and going out to dinner.

Summer TIme!
The summer is officially here! Well, I still have 2 more weeks of school, but we got the pool out this weekend. The kids love it. Andrew's game of throwing golf balls into the pool has continued from last year. Katelyn loves jumping in and walking around. Some other facts about the kids:
Katelyn's favorite food is avacado's and Andrew's is bananas. Katelyn can take down an entire avacado herself and Andrew wants bacon and bananas for every meal! Andrew is completely potty trained and waking up dry every morning. Katelyn has it figured out that if you sit on the potty, you get M & M's, so whenever she has a hankering for candy, she goes and sits on the potty! This weekend we were at the park and Andrew made 2 new friends, one he called Diego (I am not sure what his real name was!) and the other he called Terry (his name was Jessie!).

Spring Break and the week after!

We had a great spring break, the last week of March. We worked on potty training with Andrew. He is getting the potty part down, we are continueing to work on the other! Katie was also very interested and hopefully will be easy this summer!!! On Friday, March 27th, the kids and I went to Twin falls and picked up Josi. She was with us the entire next week. We all had lots of fun while she was here. Brian was gone for 2 days during the week, so it was nice to have someone home with the kids and I. On Thursday, I took a day off and we went and toured TVCC, the college in Ontario, and went to Boise. I treated her to Thai food and her first pair of 4 inch heels!! We had a great time. Brian, the kids and I took her back on Sunday, April 5th, to Twin falls to meet her friends. Every day she went and got the kids from day care around noon. She said her favorite part of the whole week was how excited they would get when she would knock on the door. Both kids had a great time with her, Andrew told her he loved her and would say "OK Josi". Katelyn learned her name and would call her Jo.

Happy Spring!!
Hope everyone has survived the winter! It was an eventful winter for us, we didn't start getting sick until the last few weeks, and it has hit us hard. Katelyn is a full fledged toddler now. She is 19 months going on 13 years! She is quite sassy and has her own ideas about things. She is also quite the talker, a new thing comes out of her mouth everyday. Her big saying right now is "it's mine!". Andrew is good. He had soccer clinic last weekend. He enjoys kicking the ball into the goal and running around. It should be an intersting season! Games start in April.

Winter Time
Katelyn just got over having an ear infection and croup, it was not a very fun week in our house. Andrew had a bit of a cold and runny nose, but so far nothing else. This week is parent teacher conferences, then 3 weeks until Spring Break!! Hopefully Josi is coming out during SB. We are looking forward to it getting nice out as well. Andrew starts soccer in a few weeks, I will let you all know how that goes!

Picture Time
Funny stuff
We are all doing well. Katelyn finally started walking! She has been super stubborn about it. We are all very excited, well except for Andrew. She is always getting into her things. She is very strong willed and he is very kind. Things will get better when Andrew figures out he just needs to do what every Kate says! Andrew loves numbers, his favorite book right now is Chicka Chicka 123. We read it almost every night. He can recognize the numbers to 100. It seems to just tire him out!!

Hair Cuts
We all got hair cuts last week. Andrew of course hated his, he only cried when she buzzed him this time though. Katelyn on the other hand loved hers! She thought she was the prettiest princess. She just sat in the chair as still as she could and watched the lady cut her hair. It was so funny. Katelyn is the girliest girl, she loves to wear anything that might make her extra beautiful, hats, glasses, brothers scoobes! I have a feeling she will be pretty vocal about what she wears!
Brian's hair cut was normal and I got a cut and color.
Also, I posted a picture of a dresser that Mary and I (Mostly Mary) refinished over Thanksgiving when they were here.
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year to everyone! Hope your year is going well. We were home for 10 over winter vacation to see everyone. Andrew had a great time and understood the meaning of Christmas- Presents (well the meaning for a 3 year old!). We stayed with Jim and Amy and their kids. The roads were great both to and from MT, but in between it was a nighmare! We are happy to be back where it is not so cold.
Since we have gotten home Katelyn has been pulling herself up more and more and starting to walk, finally! Andrew hates it, she is always getting his stuff. We had a great trip home and it was fun to see everyone. We can't wait to come back this summer.
